Percival - whose name means 'Holy Fool' - stands at the start of the untrodden path and at the beginning of what will become an intense, fulfilling, and eventful journey of a lifetime. The innocence of this boy, who sees King Arthur's knights ahead of him as angels and who looks at the world with indestructible optimism, is in stark contrast to the Grail Knight of legend that he will eventually become. The road is long before him, his final goal appearing only as a shimmering mirage in the sunlight, and he carries no burdens, packs, or weapons. But nothing will stop this Holy Fool - nothing can prevent his joy and enthusiasm from shining through and driving him onwards.
