Jesus of Nazareth

The Word created the Universe, and in the Bible Jesus of Nazareth is said to be "the word made flesh". He is the Holy Spirit that acts as a mediator between man and God; he is the teacher of wisdom and tradition; he orally passes on the knowledge and beliefs of his new brand of Judaism. Despite the small beginnings of what we now call Christianity, the radical sect of Judaism that Jesus taught was continually based in Jewish tradition and wisdom: he himself said that he came to fulfil the Law, not to change it. Here, Jesus is the rabbi he was so often referred to as, giving a sermon to crowds of listeners. The message does not come from him, but from above and through him - he is just the messenger.
