The Emperor

Freyr, Tyr, Cernunnos, and Atlas

Origin: Norse, British, Greek

In an Atlas-like stance the Emperor bears the world on his shoulders, carrying it bravely and resolutely. He kneels on a marble cube of stability and order, his shield by his side, and representations of Norse Gods Freyr and Tyr below him. As Tyr he brings order to chaos and manifestation to the raw materials given by III The Creative. As Freyr he brings virility to the land. The paving stones beneath him are ordered, but as they draw nearer to the primeval forest in which Cernunnos dwells, the primal masculine force makes them uneven and wild.
